Our Services Include: 

• Education in LEAN management and production principles:

Education is tailored to the needs of the healthcare institution, and range from a "grand-round" style presentation to a three day workshop/seminar.

Topics of education include, LEAN rules and tools, LEAN leadership principles, engagement and
cultural transformation strategies. Workshops include hands-on team activities based on LEAN
production principles.

• Rapid Improvement events (Kaizen): LEAN practices that focus upon continuous improvement

of processes.

• In-depth evaluation of departmental and institutional work flow processes to include: 
  
  • All steps of the department or institution processes
  • Hand-offs procedures
  • Operational work flow
  • Determination of where existing work processes result in real and potential patient safety events, failures in efficiency, and failures in appropriate timeliness.
    
    

At the end of our in-depth evaluation, we will provide you with: 

• A detailed report of our findings
• A detailed step-by-step corrective plan of action
  
  

Should you decide to have us implement the corrective action plan, we offer the following additional “turn-key” services:

• Assist with the recruitment, training and embedding of on-site LEAN coaches.
• Build for the institution its own team of coaches and make MLCI’s coaching services available to that team, on a long term basis, as needed.
• Deploy an on-site management team to complement local talents and assist them in addressing identified work flow and management issues.
• Remote access to recognized leadership and management talents, to complement on-site resources, through continuous mentorship and leadership “interventions”, as needed.
• Regular on-site visits, to monitor progress and help bring the entire department to a self-sustained level of effectiveness, safety and excellence.
